MIA offers half day, full day and extended day preschool, pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, kindergarten enrichment with limited transportation, and first/second grade programs. MIA’s programs use an integrated differentiated curriculum designed to provide a variety of experiences in a child centered, hands on environment. Our program is set in a warm, nurturing community where children learn how to interact with peers, develop self-confidence, build self-esteem and participate in a classroom setting. Our goal is to foster a lifelong love of learning and exploration.
MIA curriculum includes reading, writing, phonics, math and problem solving skills, wet and dry clay, sign language, art expression, science, drama, music, dance, physical education, character education, cooking, geography, author showcase and creative thinking. During a typical day, children are given time to explore, play and enjoy over 20 Multiple Intelligence learning centers. We have a beautiful outdoor play area, which gives children the opportunity to develop gross motor skills and free choice play.
Children participate weekly in Physical Education (PE) and our own weekly Muddy Paws walking club. They also have fun with music with Mr. Dave!
Teachers and assistants are highly trained and experienced educators with years of experience. Learning is structured around themes and units to encourage interaction with school and home/real life experiences.
